With the increasing improvement of the living standard and the continuous improvement of the national health awareness, the air quality problem is getting more and more attention. Meanwhile, air quality monitoring and air purification products are also getting more and more attention.According to the online shopping data in recent years, the demand for air purifiers is increasing, which indirectly promotes the increasing number of air purifier manufacturers.
However, many manufacturers find it difficult to choose between laser dust sensor and infrared PM2.5 sensor. Luftmy will introduce some differences between the two from the following four aspects:
The structure and circuit of infrared PM2.5 sensor is simple. The light source is infrared LED light source. According to the principle of light scattering, the light emitted by LED emits reflected light when it encounters dust. The light intensity of reflected light is detected by photosensitive detector, and the concentration of dust is judged by the size of pulse signal.
The structure and circuit of laser dust sensor are relatively complex, and the light source is laser diode. Light scattering occurs when the particles in the sampled gas pass through the light source (laser) and other beams. Scattered light is transformed into electrical signal (pulse) by photoelectric converter, and the larger the particle is, the larger the pulse signal (wave peak) is. The number concentration of each particle size can be obtained by the wave peak and the number of pulses at this time.
Laser dust sensor can detect more than 0.3um particles, with high-performance CPU, collect a large amount of data by fan or blower, and analyze by professional particle counting algorithm.
Because the particle signal of infrared LED light scattering is weak, it only responds to large particles larger than 1um, and only uses heating resistance to drive sampling airflow. The number of sampling is small. The data calculation is completely handed over to the upper computer. The infrared dust sensor can only detect particles larger than 1um, and the measurement accuracy is relatively inadequate.
The market price of infrared PM2.5 sensor is about 30 yuan. From the cost point of view, laser dust sensor adds parts such as laser generator and fan, and the circuit is relatively complex, so the cost increases. However, with the application of laser dust sensor and the maturity of technology in recent two years, and the function that laser dust sensor can support numerical display, the price has no disadvantage compared with infrared PM2.5 sensor, but is the choice of high performance-price ratio.
Laser dust sensor is mainly used in air purifier, air conditioner, PM2.5 detector, lampblack machine, smoke alarm, fresh air system, special PM2.5 sensor, air detector, wearing equipment and so on.
Infrared PM2.5 sensor is mainly used in air conditioning, air purifier, vehicle purification equipment, portable detector, fresh air system, intelligent detector and so on.
Infrared PM2.5 sensor and laser sensor have their own advantages, so there is no exact PM2.5 sensor which is good, it depends on customer needs, such as cost requirements, related particulate matter and so on.
